This was drawn up as just a test using some new brush settings on Manga Studio. I kind of like the grittyness of the brush especially for a monster illustrations. Background elements was also a bit of an experiment for me. Taking times that I've drawn in illustrator and saved as usable clip art for my use. Taking these elements and creating some sort of design background for this illustration.
This illustration kind of got me thinking about doing a series of Classic Monsters illustrations, of course not a direct copy of the popular Universal Monsters but my take on these classic creatures. I'd create a background design element that I can use on each monster this way keeping the series unified.
I guess those will be next, in between client work which by the way I am available for hire.
